HAPPY NEW YEAR

Hello to everyone! This is the first post in 2.011. I hope it will be a wonderful year for you all.
We have just celebrated our New Year Festival on January the first and our New Year Eve on December the thirty-first.
But not all people around the world celebrate the New Year in the same way and on the same date.
There are different traditions for the New Year celebration. For Example, in Persian culture people celebrate New Year at the beginning og spring, not in January. Their Calendar is different to ours, so their New Year starts on a different date each year if we consider our own Calendar.
Persian New Year is called Now-rooz,and here you have some links to get information about it.

And remember: this is going to be an activity for our students in 6A and 6B.
